BLUE
TEAM: The boys 5th/6th grade basketball had a
victorious win against Trinity of Reed City winning 53-22.
The Cougars started the game out strong and continued
to play hard and got the win they played for. The guys did
not just win the game, but they were coached to win and
play the game with class and that is what they did. All of the
games the boys have played; they have played with class and good
sportsmanship; as well as learning how to play as a team. The
Cougars are now heading into their 5th game continuing their winning
streak to 4-0. The leading scorers for the cats were Jacob Hayes
with 20 pts and Adam Kehr with 13. Also adding points for the
Cougars were Juwan Carlton adding 8, Austin Hayes with 6, Trevor
Vaughn with 4 and Shane Sepala adding 2. The Cougars will face the
only other undefeated team in the league from the same school, the
CCA Red Team. In the battle of the Red vs. Blue Game this
Thursday Feb. 28 at 4:30 pm in the Elementary Gym.
The
Blue Team will face St. Michaels at 9:45 am in the MMSL tournament
this Saturday, March 1st held at St. Marys in Big Rapids. |

BLUE
TEAM: The boys 5th/6th grade basketball team
pulled off a 26-24 win against St.Michaels continuing their winning
streak to 3-0. Although being a close game the Cougars
played hard and were able to draw a foul in the last few seconds of
the game to help assist in the 2 point basket to take the lead. The
team was lead by Jacob Hayes with 14 pts and assisting in the win by
adding 4 pts each were Juwan Carlton, Adam Kehr, and Trevor Vaughn.
The Cougars are in action again when they travel to Trinity of Reed
City on Monday. Congrats on the win guys! |

BLUE
TEAM: Congratulations' to the CCA 5th and 6th boy's
basketball team on continuing the winning streak to make there
season 2-0 by defeating St.Mary's of Big Rapids 44-4. The Cougars
were led by Jacob Hayes with 20 pts, 8 rebounds,and 6 steals.
Not to far behind was his brother Austin Hayes with 12 pts, 7
rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. Also to help bring to Cougars to
there victory was Adam Kehr who led the team with 11
rebounds and also added 8 pts. Both Gregory Woolen and Juwan
Carlton added 2 pts each for the Cougars. Alex Johansen also helped
the Cougars with 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists. The Cougars
will be in action again on Monday, Feb 4th at 5:30 pm against
Trinity Reed City at Home. Go Cougars! |

BLUE
TEAM: The
5th and 6th grade boy's basketball team recorded their first
victory on their opening night! The Cougars defeated St. Ann of
Cadillac 46 - 2. Jacob Hayes led the way with 16 points as
well as tallying several steals, which led to fast breaks to put
points on the board for the Cougars. Austin Hayes also put
up 10 pts and had several steals and rebounds to the help
the Cougars with their victory. Adam Kehr was a great asset for the
Cougars by crashing the boards both offensively and defensively to
tally many rebounds from both ends, as well as adding 8
pts to assist in the Cougars first victory of the season. The
Cougars will be in action again on Monday Jan. 28th at St.
Mary's. Hope to see you there cheering on your Cougars! |
