CCA 24 - St. Ann's 6. The Lady Cougars were victorious in their tournament opener. Areonna Wilson led the way with 12 points. Katlin Reed followed with 8 and Megan Soller and Journey Hawkins put up 2 points each.
CCA 32 - St. Michaels 18. Once again, in the 2nd game of the tournament, the ladies continued their victory streak. Journey Hawkins added up 11 points, Areonna Wilson 10 and Megan Soller 7 points to secure the victory. Katlin Reed and Taylor Otto placed 2 points on the board.
CCA 15 - St. Peter's 16. The young Lady Cougars fought a hard game to fall in the championship game during the last few seconds of the game. AreonnaWilson led the team with 6 points. Journey Hawkins placed 4 points on the board. Katlin Reed let a 3 pointer fly and Megan Soller finished with 2 points.

Kaela Brooks received the MMSL Sportsmanship Award. The Cougars finished the season with a 5 - 2 record, one game was snowed out, and a tournament record of 2 - 1.

CCA 51 - Trinity Reed City 8. The Cougars finished the first quarter with a 16 point lead and never looked back as the score was 18 - 2. Continuing with 14 more points in the 2nd quarter, another 10 in the third and 9 in the 4th quarter wrapped up the victory. Kaela Brooks led the lady Cougars with a double figure of 23 points and multiple steals. Areonna Wilson put up 10 points, plus multiple steals. Taylor Otto chipped in 6 points, and Journey Hawkins and Katlin Reed 4 points each. Katlin had hot hands as she racked up steals and assists to secure the victory. Megan Soller and Hanna Meads each put in 2 points.

The young Cougars will travel to St. Michael's in Remus, for their season finale, on Thursday, Jan. 17th for a rescheduled snowed out game.

CCA 28 - St. Michael - 25. The lady Cougars fought hard to out score the St. Michael's team 6 - 2 in the 4th quarter to secure the victory. Leading the way with 8 points was Areonna Wilson. Journey Hawkins and Katlin Reed each put up 6 points, Kaela Brooks, 4 points and Megan Soller 2.
CCA - 18 - St. Peter's - 20. The young Cougars fought with dignity and pride as they kept the gap close throughout the entire game. Areonna Wilson led the way with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Hanna Meads and Journey Hawkins posted 2 points each. Meads also had 2 steals, Hawkins recorded 6 rebounds. Kaela Brooks led the defensive attack with 5 steals and Katlin Reed followed with 4 steals.

The ladies will scrimmage against each other during half time of the Girl's Varsity game on Monday, Dec. 17th in the CCA HS gym.

CCA 23 - St. Ann's 10. Leading the scoring attack was Areonna Wilson with 8 points. Kaela Brooks chucked up 6 and Katlin Reed added 4 points with a couple of great assists. Journey Hawkins and Megan Soller each added 2 points and Hanna Meads, going to the line put 1 on the board.

The ladies will travel to St. Peter's on Thursday, Dec. 13th at 5:30 pm.

The 5th and 6th grade girl's basketball team cut loose with a 10 - 0 first quarter and never looked back as they defeated Trinity Reed City 36-2 at CCA on Dec. 6th.

Leading the way were Areonna Wilson and Journey Hawkins with 10 points each, Megan Soller with 8 points, Hanna Meads with 4 points and Kaela Brooks and Katlin Reed with 2 points each.

Scoring the lone 2 points for Trinity was Ashley Laugavitz.

The ladies are in action at CCA on Monday, Dec. 10th, taking on St. Ann's from Cadillac at 5:30 pm.

The 5th and 6th grade girl's basketball team was defeated by St. Peter's last night 15- 30. Playing their first game, in the HS gym, the young lady Cougars held on with a 2 point edge at the end of the first quarter. Only down by 2 points at the end of the first half the ladies still were within reach of a victory, only to be outscored in the third and four quarters by 13 points.

Areonna Wilson led the Cougars with 6 points, all scored in the third quarter. Megan Soller added 3, and Kaela Brooks, Journey Hawkins and Katlin Reed each put in 2 points.

The girl's played with true integrity and dignity, always displaying their best sportsmanship, even during questionable situations. The young Cougars are in action on Monday, Dec. 3rd when they travel to Remus for a contest against St. Michael.

The 5th and 6th grade girl's basketball team recorded their first victory on their opening night! The lady Cougars defeated St. Ann of Cadillac 24 - 9. Katlin Reed led the way with 6 points and 2 steals. Kaela Brooks, Megan Soller and Taylor Otto each put up 4 points. Hanna Meads and Areonna Wilson burst out with a great defensive game with 3 steals each, as well as Areonna adding 2 points. The young Cougars will be in action on Monday Nov. 26th at their home court opener against St. Peter.
