This Year In the World of Sixth Grade History

Expectations:

1.      Students will need a three-ring binder in the first week of school. This will help them get organized and should help them stay organized. They will be given information to keep in their binders, and they will receive a textbook.

2.     Students should study a few minutes each day, which prevents “cramming” for quizzes and tests.

3.     Students will take vocabulary quizzes for each chapter.

4.     Students will take one test after each chapter. For the first part of the year the students will be allowed to use their study guides while taking their tests. Later in the year, they will not be able to do so.

5.     Students will be assigned written questions each day.

6.     Students must participate in all classroom activities and assignments.

7.     Students are encouraged to participate in classroom discussions.

8.     Study guides will be available for the children to complete for each chapter. They are a vital study-key for the test. The first one we will complete together, but after that the students will be expected to complete them on their own.

EXPECTATIONS:

Students must hand in all written work and assignments on time. Otherwise, they will receive a 20% deduction. If not completed and handed in by the following Monday, they will receive a 0%, which cannot be redeemed.
