Meet Mrs. Robinson!
I am a native of Big
Rapids having (mostly) grown up and gone to school here. I am a 2005 graduate of
Ferris State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and
minors in Language Arts and Social Studies. My husband and I have been married
since 2004. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs, which are our children for now.
Aside from teaching,
which I love, I also enjoy scrap booking and shopping. I LOVE to read and try to
instill a love of reading to my students. My favorite holiday is Christmas and I
plan for each Christmas starting the day after each one ends!
My educational
philosophy is a saying I once saw on a plaque in my elementary principals
office. “All children are gifted. Some just have yet to open their
packages.” I truly believe that each child that walks through my door is
gifted in some way. It is my job as an educator to help them find that gift in
themselves and then hone it. I also am responsible for finding the area’s that
are still neatly wrapped and help them to rip off the paper and dig into
what’s inside.
